President Joe Biden made a pitch for reelecting Sen. Raphael Warnock saying he can't think of 'anything' the Georgia Democrat hadn't backed him on – in remarks Republicans immediately tried to throw back at him.

Biden made the comment while visiting a phone bank in Massachusetts by members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He made the case for Warnock as a party loyalist – while questioning the 'veracity' of Walker, who has suffered a series of scandals including public clashes over whether he paid for abortions with women who say he did.

'I can't think of anything he hasn't voted for – with us,' Biden said, praising Warnock, who is engaged in a tight runoff against Donald Trump-backed Walker.

'There may be something,' Biden riffed. 'I know it's a problem because they're running against him saying he votes 98 per cent of the time with Joe Biden – I wouldn't tell them that on the phone,' he joked.

The Republican National Committee sent around the clip

But spoke about how a 50-50 Senate, which he has already nailed down for 2023, was inferior to 51-49.

'This race in George is really, really critical,' Biden said.

'That means you got 50 presidents -- anyone could decide to change the direction of the country,' he said, only hinting at his struggles corralling Democratic holdouts last year.

'And we're diverse party... but we still have all stuck together on a major, major issues. And one of the things that we need -- we need that 51st vote.'

Biden also took shots at Walker, who faced accusations during the campaign by two  women who had relationships within him and who claimed he paid for their abortions years ago despite his public pro-life stance.

'This is a choice. A choice between two men,' Biden said.

'One doesn't deserve to be in the United States Senate based on his veracity and what he said and what he hadn't said,' Biden said.

An October analysis had Warnock voting with Biden 96 per cent of the time.

The comments came after Biden said he was best helping Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock of Georgia by traveling to Boston, Massachusetts - after mistakenly saying he was headed to Georgia.

'I'm going to Georgia today to help Sen. Warnock - not to Georgia - I'm going to help Sen. Warnock, I'm doing a major fundraiser up in Boston today for the, our next, continued Senate candidate, senator,' Biden said Friday at an event announcing that a railroad strike had been averted.

Warnock currently has a four-point advantage in the polls in his run-off race against the Trump-backed Republican, Herschel Walker

Neither candidate hit the 50 percent plus one threshold to win the Senate race outright in November, so they're back on the ballot facing off for a second time in weeks.

The run-off will conclude on December 6, with early voting already started.

That means there's little time for Biden to schedule such a trip, as he'll participate in a number of events in Boston Friday afternoon, including a meeting with Prince William, and said high-dollar fundraiser, before spending the weekend at Camp David.

On Monday, Congressional leaders will gather at the White House for the Congressional Ball.

The White House announced Wednesday that Biden will be on the other side of the country - on a trip
