A brave Aussie who almost lost his leg to a crocodile has made sure his gruesome injuries didn't get in the way of enjoying a cold beer at the pub.

Kyle Hutchinson suffered the close call in Western Australia's Kimberley region, an area known for its large population of the deadly reptiles.

Mr Hutchinson received three deep cuts to his right shin in the attack and was pictured grimacing in pain as bottled water was poured over his wounds.

The brave Aussie sat in the car's boot as he received first aid on the nasty puncture holes caused by one of the world's most feared and deadly predators.

However, Mr Hutchinson wasn't about to let the terrifying encounter get in the way of a good time and enjoyed a well-deserved beer in true Aussie style.

The croc survivor was pictured just hours later resting his bandaged leg on a bench at Hotel Kununurra, a popular watering hole in the east Kimberley region.

Social media users were quick to applaud Mr Hutchinson for his bravery.

'Dudes like "nah just bandage it and take me to the pub",' one man wrote.

'That's the Aussie way! Yewwwww!' another commented.

'It's summer he wasn't expecting the water to be nippy,' a third joked.

'I'd need to go to the pub too,' a fourth added.
