Jury selection is scheduled to start today in the Los Angeles trial of rapper Tory Lanez who's accused of shooting fellow hip-hop star Megan Thee Stallion in the foot.

Lanez, 30 - who has been on house arrest since late October for allegedly beating up another rapper - is charged with assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle.

He's pleaded not guilty to both - but if he's convicted, he could spend up to 12 years in prison.

He was seen arriving at court Monday wearing an ankle monitor, checkered suit and sunglasses.
