Outrage is growing at wealthy harbour front property owners step up their campaign to end so-called 'party boats' from mooring in Sydney Harbour - as the state government reviews the code of conduct for commercial vessels.

The popular party boats are already under strict restrictions to not disrupt Sydneysiders but residents living along the harbour - in some of the most expensive homes in Australia - want them banned all together.

Party boats are already not allowed to play music on a loudspeaker between midnight and 8am and are banned from venturing within 200m of the shoreline or west of the water between Kirribilli and Bennelong Point.

But some mansion owners want the ban extended throughout the entire day and more rules brought in to prevent the boats anchoring - which they would normally do for at least part of a charter cruise.

'They shouldn't be able to be stationary,' Cremorne Point resident Amanda Stabback told the Sydney Morning Herald
