Republican Herschel Walker lost in the Georgia Senate runoff against Democratic incumbent Raphael Warnock.
'Thank you, Georgia. We did it again,' Warnock tweeted moments after his admittedly close victory was projected.
He should be thanking Trump.
Nearly every single Trump-endorsed, MAGA-acolyte Senate candidate running in the 2022 midterm elections lost -- except one.
'Hillbilly Elegy' author, J.D. Vance, in what can now be called the red state of Ohio, limped across the finish line, aided by millions of dollars from billionaire Silicon Valley backer Peter Thiel.
Most other MAGA-inspired candidates went down: Blake Masters for Senate in Arizona, Kari Lake for Governor in Arizona, Dr. Mehmet Oz for Senate in Pennsylvania and Tudor Dixon for Governor in Michigan to name a few.
Some of these races were close, but as they say in Talladega Nights, if you're not first, you're last and that is particularly true in politics.
If you even need to be reminded – in a year in which nearly every political pundit predicted a red wave, Republicans achieved the impossible.
They blew it.
Democrats actually expanded their Senate majority with Warnock's re-election giving them a 51st senate seat.

Recall when West Virginia Democratic Senator Joe Manchin was considered the most powerful man in Washington DC, because his vote could make or break any proposed left-wing legislation.
Well, Manchin is weaker today.
And not only is the carcass of Trump's wretched political career hanging like a long-dead albatross around the necks of Republicans – he's shown himself to be politically inept as well.
Trump clearly thought that he could declare this candidacy for 2024 almost immediately after the midterm vote and then ride the rising Republican tide to a coronation.
Well, that's not happening.
Trump's fingerprints are all over Walker's loss, dragging the election-denying ex-president down even further.
Hershel Walker was an incredible football player, a legend in his state, but that's not enough to become a senator – thank God!
Walker's past is riddled with dark scandals, including conflict with his children, allegations of domestic violence, and accusations that he pushed and paid for abortions for multiple women while running as a pro-life candidate.
In a different era, those things would have precluded him from running, let alone winning a Republican primary. But Trump thought
