Police arrest man suspected of murdering British estate manager Donnie McKinnon ... trends now

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of the murder of Donnie McKinnon who was fatally shot last Saturday while out drinking with his friend Peter Jackson at a bar in St Lucia.

The suspect was arrested at an address in Soufriere yesterday afternoon, a police source said.

'The police have detained a man believed to be in his 30s and are questioning him in connection with the murder of the British man who was killed over the weekend.'

Said the source. 'The police are working on intelligence gathered over the last few days and have been speaking to people in the area where the murder took place.'
