Man awaiting trial for murder was 'found hanged in his prison cell on his ... trends now
The man awaiting trial for the murder of the brother of former Super League star Danny Kirmond was found 'hanged in his cell on his birthday', an inquest opening heard.
Lee Robinson was on remand awaiting trial over the death of Jack Kirmond, 33, when he was discovered hanging in his cell at HMP Leeds.
Jack suffered a serious head injury in an assault outside Sharlston Rovers amateur rugby club in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, in August.
The club is owned by older brother Danny, 37, who made more than 200 appearances for Wakefield and Huddersfield in the sport's top division Super League.

Jack was rushed to hospital after the assault in the early hours of August 7, but tragically died of his injuries.
Robinson, from Castleford, West Yorkshire, was charged with his murder and due to stand trial after pleading not guilty.
A brief hearing at Wakefield Coroner's Court heard Robinson was found dead in the afternoon of December 11, his 39th birthday.
The hearing was told he had been suffering from flu-like symptoms prior to his death and had a history of mental health problems, so was being 'closely monitored'.
Robinson had not been well that day and had not left his cell, but a check was made on him by staff through his cell hatch just before noon.
Another check was carried out at 1.48pm, the court heard.
At 2.06pm, a friend went to his cell to wish him happy birthday through his cell hatch and found him hanging.
