A Qantas plane has been forced to make an emergency landing due to an in-flight health emergency.
The international flight, travelling from Singapore to London, made an unforeseen landing in Athens, Greece, on Monday local time after a passenger fell ill.
A Qantas spokesperson on Wednesday confirmed the flight had to make an 'unscheduled landing at Athens International Airport in Greece after a passenger became critically unwell on the flight'.
In a statement provided to Daily Mail Australia, the spokesperson said crew and passengers performed life-saving first aid 'on the advice of medical experts' before the flight was diverted so the patient could receive emergency medical treatment.
