A single mother-of-two was found dead in her home after online gaming friends raised the alarm when she failed to log onto the platform for two days.
Gamers across the globe got in touch with police in Scotland and the dog walker of Lauren Black when she didn't log in online to play Evony: The Kings Return, which they claimed was out of character.
The 36-year-old's body was found by her dog walker at her home in Edgar Crescent in Renfrew on January 3.
Police have now launched an investigation into her death, which they are currently treating as 'unexplained'. A spokesperson confirmed that enquiries are ongoing.
