President Joe Biden said his new immigration policy changes will make it easier for migrants to make to the U.S. without going through ‘some jungle’ to reach a place where they even don’t know the language.
He made the statement at a press conference in Mexico City at the end of the ‘Three Amigos’ summit, after announcing new plans to allow 30,000 migrants a month from certain countries apply for asylum online.
‘We’re trying to make it easier for people to get here … but not have them go through that god-awful process,’ he said.
Then Biden described some of the brutalities of the long trek migrants make to try to reach the US. The remarks came during a lengthy press conference that ran more than an hour, and where Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador thanks him for not funding further construction of Donald Trump's border
