The jet ski rider appeared to follow the boat before sending a huge wave crashing onto its decks at the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria on Monday. The incident seemed to be completely unprovoked and left those on the boat, including a 13-year-old girl, feeling frightened. 'We were fishing and then he came around unexpectedly so we moved away,' she told 9 News. 'He kept following us and he was just being an idiot really. My phone now has water damage. 'We are all okay but it was really scary. It's not safe.' Zara Read, 13, was also on the boat, said it was a 'frightening' experience. 'It was pretty scary. He could just lose control, you don't know what could have happened.' All jet ski riders in the area have been put on notice by the council following a string of complaints of bad behaviour. Mornington Peninsula Council Mayor Steve Holland said more needed to be done to protect swimmers and wildlife from irresponsible jet ski riders.
