Donald Trump is angling to win back his social media supremacy just 10 days before the first official event of his 2024 presidential campaign.
Once commanding social media accounts that were among the most watched on Facebook and Twitter, Trump was booted off of both platforms over his actions related to the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
He was reinstated to Twitter thanks to the results of a public user poll conducted by its new eccentric billionaire owner, Elon Musk.
And on Tuesday, Trump's campaign sent a letter to Facebook's parent company Meta asking for a sit-down to discuss bringing the ex-president back online for the sake of free speech, according to NBC News.
'We believe that the ban on President Trump’s account on Facebook has dramatically distorted and inhibited the public discourse,' the letter reportedly said.

The letter also argued that the ban was 'interfering' with a fair elections process.
Meta reportedly told NBC that it 'will announce a decision in the coming weeks in line with the process we laid out.'
