Ms Wang was allegedly assaulted and verbally abused by the two sisters, aged 13 and 14, after her and another staff member asked them to return items they were accused of stealing. Footage of the incident shows one of the sisters attempting to strike Ms Wang, while the other shot pepper spray at the storeowner. Owner of an East Perth IGA, Sarah Wang (pictured), has been threatened, pepper sprayed and racially abused after confronting shoplifting teenage sisters on Monday 'I knew she was about to spray something, so I stepped back and held my breath, but I still got choked up,' Ms Wang told WA Today. 'It's not worth it, the violence, for $17.' The girls were escorted out of the store after the incident but not before one the teenagers allegedly shouted racial slurs at Ms Wang, calling her an 'Asian mutt' and threatening her store would be 'smashed up'. Ms Wang claimed she has around three to four encounters with alleged shoplifters every day. However police have warned Ms Wang confronting the shoppers isn't worth the risk to her safety. 'They come into the shop like it's their home pantry,' she said. The two sisters, aged 13 and 14, from nearby Gosnell have been charged with aggravated armed robbery and released on bail (pictured, one of the teens attempting to strike Ms Wang) Both women were arrested and charged with aggravated armed robbery on Tuesday and appeared in Perth Children’s Court on Wednesday where they were both released on bail. The magistrate berated officers during the hearing for keeping the sisters locked up overnight, claiming police hadn't done enough to contact a guardian. 'It is unacceptable that has happened, can the state look into that please,' Magistrate Alana Padmanabham said. Ms Wang said she was worried about her safety. 'When she left she said I'm going to smash your shop, so of course I worry about it,' Ms Wang told 9News. 'I don't know, I wish the law or whatever can do something better.'
