Lucy Indge, 25, lashed out at uniformed officer PC Nathan Ford after he offered her a lift home from a night out on December 10 last year. Newport Magistrates Court heard that Indge from Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, was so drunk she was being restrained by bouncers when police arrived. And once she was in the car, things went from bad to worse. Lucy Indge, 25, flew into a rage with the uniformed PC at a pre-Christmas party last year Once in, Indge hit out in the back of the police car and kicked the window causing it to 'pop out.' After being removed from the car, Indge struck out at PC Ford and kneed him. Prosecutor Gregory Lloyd said: 'PC Ford had been flagged down by a publican in the area. 'The defendant was being restrained by door staff. 'The officer asked her where she lived and offered to take her home. 'She said that she wasn't going to go home and she appeared to kick a woman, although there is no complaint from that woman. 'When the defendant was taken out of the police car, she struck the officer in the groin with her knee causing him pain.' The sorry details of the Welsh drunken night out were heard in Newport Magistrates Court Indge was fined £300 and ordered to pay PC Ford £100 in personal compensation The court had previously heard Indge had been so intoxicated during the festive fracas she had to have her legs tied and a van with a cage called to take her to the station. And as she sobered up in custody she said she had no memory of what happened. Indge pleaded guilty to assaulting an emergency worker and criminal damage. Defending Jemma Guy said Indge had previously ran her own business and had employed four staff. Miss Guy added: 'Unfortunately, the defendant suffers from mental health difficulties and was on a waiting list to receive treatment for that.' Indge was handed a 12-month community order and must complete a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement. She was fined £300 and ordered to pay PC Ford £100 compensation.
