Tesla will build a $3.5billion electric semi-truck manufacturing facility in Nevada, the White House confirms.
Joe Biden’s Infrastructure Coordinator, Mitch Landrieu, confirmed Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo's announcement that Tesla will be building a second plant in the state.
'It will create more than 3,000 good-paying jobs in Nevada helping America lead in clean energy manufacturing, strengthening our energy security, and ultimately lowering costs for families,' Landrieu said in a statement.
'This announcement is the latest in more than $300billion in private sector investment in clean energy and semiconductor manufacturing announced since the President took office.'
Lombardo announced the new plant in his State of the State speech on Monday evening, stating that he was 'looking forward to join Elon Musk and the team at Tesla tomorrow [Tuesday] when they unveil plans to build a brand new $3.5billion advanced manufacturing facility...'
