The rib-tickling clip has already amassed more than 10million views on TikTok, where it was posted earlier this month by the woman, who goes by the username mamscarterrr. It has since garnered more than a million likes.
Just under a minute long, the clip begins with the woman setting up a camera to capture the proposal, seemingly already aware of her soon-to-be husband's intent to propose.
The vantage point achieved by the quick-thinking woman - who in posts said she met her fiancé through a dating app - offered not only a view of the proposal that would ensue, but of the scenic, snow-capped Sierra Nevadas in the background.
After making the necessary preparations, the woman rushes to her husband, who is seen dutifully standing at the center of the majestic backdrop as he awaits his betrothed.

The footage, however, was filmed on the shores of Lake Tahoe, a popular tourist destination for residents of The Golden State about three hours away.
But as cities such as San Francisco were hit with abnormal amounts of rain brought by storms that besieged the region, the lake was overrun with several feet of snow, likely contributing to the couple's now widely seen spills.
