A 93-year-old woman was flung into the air and killed by a hit-and-run driver in broad daylight in crime-ridden Chicago on Thursday.
The victim, who has not been identified, left behind a single silver snowboot on the side of the road after she was struck by a silver Porsche at around 12.20 in the city's Austin neighborhood.
Local residents were left horrified by the collision as a neighbor and friend of the victim told Fox32 she was 'scared of crossing the street'.

It comes as crime continues to surge in Chicago, with reports of lawbreaking increasing by 12 percent in 2022.
The incident happened 300 block of South Laramie Avenue. After being hit by the vehicle, the victim was taken to the nearby Mount Sinai Hospital where she later died.
Detectives were seen removing evidence from the scene, including the sole boot as well as car parts from the Porsche.
