Woke teachers' union boss Randi Weingarten slammed for declaring 'parents don't ... trends now

Woke teachers union boss Randi Weingarten has been blasted for re-tweeting a post saying 'most parents don't like culture wars' - despite spearheading divisive school policies across the nation.

Weingarten's policies, including pushing critical race theory in classrooms and enforcing strict pandemic rules, have sparked fury among many parents in recent years.

Her claim that parents are uninterested in 'culture wars' debates was seen by many as an attempt to dismiss concerns raised by parents over her politicized stances.

The union chief caught the ire of parents and activists this week after she tweeted a TIME article with the headline: 'Poll: Most Parents Don't Like School Culture Wars'.

The poll referenced in the article was from Democratic pollsters Hart Research Associates, which found just one in five respondents felt that teachers promote wokeness in classrooms.

The article also referenced findings that two thirds of parents see the 'culture wars' as a distraction from education.

However, Weingarten's use of the poll angered many, who feel her draconian Covid-19 policies, such as support for mandatory vaccination and rampant school closures, were far more of a distraction to education than culture debates.

'Then stop politicizing education,' education activist Corey DeAngelis said. 'Parents don't like how you fought to keep schools closed.'

Non-profit organization Americans for Public Trust said: 'Most parents don't like that you wrote @CDC's guidance that kept schools closed.

'Perhaps you should sit this one out'.

Parents rights campaigner Nicki Neily also replied: 'Reality: Most Parents Don't Like Teachers Unions Locking Their Kids Out of School.'
