One of Australia's biggest airlines has slashed fares to some of the world's most beautiful destinations both at home and abroad as Aussies embrace going on holiday again in record numbers.
Half a million seats on domestic and international routes were discounted by the airline on Monday as part of Virgin Australia's epic Bring on 2023 sale.
Prices start from $55 one way in both directions between Sydney and Byron Bay (Ballina) in far northern NSW.
Bargain jetsetters searching for a discounted overseas escape are also in luck with several return airfares under $500.
Monday's sale launch comes as Virgin Australia reported record business traveller growth as bookings exceeded 110 per cent of pre-Covid levels.

Sydneysiders can also escape to the Sunshine Coast for as little as $75, the Gold Coast for $89, Melbourne for $95 or as far north as Cairns for just $125.
Other hot deal routes include Adelaide-Launceston ($85), Brisbane-Whitsundays ($85) while Adelaide-Melbourne and Melbourne-Hobart both start from $89 one way.
Travellers looking to dust off their passport can score a Fiji getaway from Sydney for as little as $459 return while a flight across Tasman to Queenstown starts from $559.
Jetsetters across Australia will also take advantage of the discounted Bali fares from as little $489 from the Gold Coast.
Other discounted international fares include include Melbourne-Vanuatu ($539) Brisbane-Samoa ($549) or Cairns-Tokyo ($699).
