A man accused of the brutal murder of his girlfriend, 19, has admitted stalking her father and verbally threatening him when he declined to give him permission to marry her daughter: 'I want a decision quickly.'
The 22-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, allegedly murdered university student Arnima Hayat, 19, at a unit in North Parramatta in January 2022. He was separately charged with stalking and intimidating her father, Abu Hayat.
Court documents read to Bankstown Local Court in Sydney's west on Monday revealed the muscular man had a fiery argument with Mr Hayat, after turning up to his home in the evening of October 8, 2021.
