Palacios shared the stunning hit and run to his seven thousand Instagram followers, where he slammed the driver as he claimed and his dog Simba 'don't deserve this'.

'What happened? I told a bad driver he drives like s***,' he said.

'I proceeded and he rammed me from behind. And yes, he knew Simba was on the bike.

'The great thing about cargo bikes is they receive 90% of the impact. I don’t attach Simba to the bike so he’s free to go in a safe direction.'

Social media users were quick to support Palacios after footage of the crash was shared online.

'Jesus Christ, so glad you and Simba are okay - that really sucks,' said one.
