Senate Judiciary Committee puts Ticketmaster on notice ahead of Beyoncé tour trends now

The Senate Judiciary Committee sent Ticketmaster an ominous note ahead of the sale of the highly anticipated Beyoncé world tour.

Only a week after the Committee grilled Ticketmaster's parent company Live Nation about the Taylor Swift Eras Tour fiasco, they made their position clear on Thursday on how they expect the monopoly to handle the upcoming Beyoncé sale.

'We're watching, @Ticketmaster,' they ominously wrote in a tweet attached to a CNN video reporting on how her fanbase, the Beyhive, is already anticipating another meltdown.

Like Swifties, the Beyhive had to register for a Verified Fan presale code, which not all fans will receive. Those who do receive one, will then wait in a virtual line on their selected date to battle it out with other fans for the highly coveted seats.

Ticketmaster has already announced that demand for Group A - which includes nine cities - has reached 'more than 800 percent' of reserved tickets set aside for the sale and presale code registration doesn't even close until noon EST on Friday.

Group B has until February 9, while Group C has until February 16 to register to potentially receive a presale access code.

Unlike the Taylor Swift sale - where tickets to all tours dates were released to presale code holders at once - Ticketmaster has designed an updated release schedule to hopefully ensure Beyoncé fans don't run into the same issue, where the virtual lines were briefly stalled and fans were getting kicked out of the queue.

Instead, the BeyHive's three groups will fight it out for tickets on different dates.

Ticketmaster blamed bots and the 'historical unprecedented demand' for the Swift fiasco.
