A serial stalker has been filmed peering into windows and trying to break into family homes in the early hours of the morning.
Home security cameras show frightening footage of what appears to be the same man trying to open front doors in Rippleside, Bell Park and Bell Post Hill in Geelong, west of Melbourne, between January 31 and February 3.
In one video, which was shared to social media on Saturday, the stranger could be seen wearing an Adidas hoodie and tracksuit pants, a wide-brim hat, face mask and gloves.
About seven residents have reported encounters with the offender.
