CNN's Don Lemon is seen talking over his co-host and ignoring her on-air as ... trends now Footage broadcast by the 'CNN This Morning' show sees Kaitlan Collins repeatedly being either dismissed on silenced by her on-air co-host Don Lemon, only hours before Lemon allegedly blew up at Collins in front of fellow staffers. In a series of clips taken from the December 8 broadcast, Collins can be seen attempting to get a word in while Lemon continues to talk over her and at one point tells her to stop speaking while he continues to ramble on. The tension continues to build throughout the broadcast before Lemon allegedly made Kaitlan Collins run from the set in tears later that morning after he berated her in front of the television crew and their other female co-host Poppy Harlow. CNN has since issued a statement saying that the reports of Lemon's outburst are overblown, but other outlets have confirmed that the events being described are largely accurate. 'Don, Kaitlan and Poppy were friends before they were co-anchors and they remain friends today,' a statement from CNN reads. Footage broadcast by the CNN This Morning shows Kaitlan Collins repeatedly being either dismissed on silenced by her on-air co-host Don Lemon Several times during the December 8 broadcast, Lemon either talked over his co-host of simply ignored her entirely. A huge off-air row then allegedly erupted A number of sources at CNN say that Lemon is a professional host and Collins is working to adjust to her role as a morning show host having previously been the network's White House Correspondent. Collins, 30, was the youngest chief White House Correspondent in the history of CNN, and now reportedly wants to be on set with the anchor 'as little as possible' after the incident reports the New York Post. The argument took place off-camera which left Collins 'visibly upset' and other members of staff 'shaken 'by his outburst. Lemon, 56, went 'ballistic' at staffers who highlighted the spat with Collins, according to RadarOnline – with the host claiming she 'interrupted him' during a December broadcast. Lemon allegedly scolded Collins in front of staff following the December 8 broadcast for interrupting him several times while on air Footage from the December 8 broadcast sees several occurrences of on air interruptions that sees Collins attempting to speak but Lemon either ignoring her or talking over her. The instances happened during a portion of the show when breaking news occurred with details of Britney Griner’s release from a Russian prison being made public. In another section of the show, Collins once again tries to speak up but ends up talking over Lemon once again. Both Collins and Lemon are both represented by agent Jay Sures, with their fellow anchor Poppy Harlow witnessing the initial heated exchange. Collins and Lemon have starred alongside each other on the show since it started three months ago. The CNN This Morning host allegedly made Kaitlan Collins run from the set in tears on December 8 after he berated her in front of the television crew and their other co-host The pair, along with Harlow, used to arrive to red carpets and events as a unit but now appear to arrive separately and seem to want to stay far away from each other. While it's unclear whether Collins intentionally interrupted Lemon, one source referred to him as 'bossy' and 'difficult to work with.' The source added that he was given notes to talk less during the show and share the stage with Harlow and Collins. Lemon may also be struggling to share the spotlight having previously had his own show - Don Lemon Tonight - before CNN boss Chris Licht canceled it and created the new morning show. There have been a number of changes at the broadcaster, with the executive producer of CNN This Morning, Eric Hall, being ousted and moved to a new role at CNN tonight. There have been a number of changes at the broadcaster with the new show starting in November Lemon may also be struggling to share the spotlight having previously had his own show - Don Lemon Tonight When his 10pm show, Don Lemon Tonight, was canceled amid lackluster ratings last year, Lemon initially said that the move to mornings was not a 'demotion'. This weekend, it was revealed how Lemon left frosty New York behind to enjoy the Grammys in to California with his partner. He is now enjoying some time off in Beverly Hills with his partner Tim Malone, who posted a picture of the pair. The pair travelled from New York to Los Angeles for the Grammys and seemed to be enjoying the sunshine in the Golden State - ignoring the drama unfolding at home. Real estate agent Malone posted the series of snaps, which included a picture of the popular 'Bienvenidos Amigos' script on the pillars near the entrance of the landmark, the hotel parking lot and palm trees. They added that he was also unimpressed with the fact that Collins had worked for the Daily Caller before her gig covering the Trump White House for CNN. Lemon has been 'given notes' to speak less and let his co-hosts also have the limelight. One source added: 'Don's a bossy guy and difficult to work with — even he would admit that. He was a solo act before. He doesn't want to be in Destiny's Child. 'Don has an intractable ego. My understanding is he wants the show to be about him. I don't know how you fix that. It's a very difficult situation.' It comes after podcast host Megyn Kelly predicted the incident with Collins wasn't the first time that Lemon had lost his cool on a co-worker, adding she suspected it wouldn't be his last either. She added Lemon he 'better be careful,' adding she would have had him fired if he pulled that on her – and also commented that the show is on 'its last legs before it even got on its first legs.' The source added that he was given notes to talk less during the show and share the stage with Harlow and Collins A rep from CNN declined to comment on the incident but said: 'In just three months, these anchors have created a compelling morning show that breaks news and drives the conversation.' Since the incident, Lemon has been sent to Memphis and on other assignments, while Collins broadcast from Washington DC on several occasions in January. A CNN rep said Collins has been on assignment as she also serves as the chief correspondent for the show, adding: 'The intent was always for the anchors to get out from behind the news desk, and they are doing an extraordinary job taking viewers inside the most important news stories of the day.' Lemon's December blow-up isn't the first wrong move he's made while adjusting to sharing the limelight with his new colleagues. A week prior he was shot down by Collins and Harlow after they accused him of mansplaining why the US men's soccer team should get paid more – despite their lack of success. He insisted that he was joking when he said that men were 'more interesting to watch'- with the interaction making for awkward viewing. CNN This Morning has suffered a ratings bomb and early last month experienced its least-viewed week since being launched, averaging just over 330,000 viewers. Collins, 30, the youngest chief White House Correspondent on CNN, reportedly wants to be on set with the anchor 'as little as possible' after the incident.
