A politician in the west-central Brazilian state of Mato Groso is still in pain a week after a doctor left scissors in his abdomen after removing a tumor from his intestine.
Cleyton Zanatta underwent intestinal surgery at Colíder Regional Hospital on January 20 and began to feel pain in his stomach after he was discharged and sent home.
The 46-year-old, who holds a seat theNova Santa Helena city council, visited a clinic on January 26 and had a CT scan that shockingly revealed the object was still in his stomach.
Zanatta was rushed to Colíder Regional Hospital for an operation to have the scissors removed and was discharged two days later.
