Mysterious drone footage has revealed Alex Murdaugh's brother and son removing guns from the family hunting lodge three months after Maggie and Paul were killed.

In a new Netflix show released Wednesday drone footage taken by an amateur sleuth showed John Marvin Murdaugh and Alex's surviving son Buster removing eight weapons from the 1,800-acre estate in Moselle, South Carolina.

Eric Alan a local YouTuber said that he received a tip in September, 2021, that police  were searching Moselle. It came after Murdaugh allegedly shot dead his wife Maggie, 52, and younger son Paul, 22, at the property on the night of June 7, 2021.

Alan put his drone up but believed he was too late because he could not see any cops. 'It wasn't until a few days later when I was going through the footage and seen what I got, that I noticed the guns. My first thought was "this is a big deal,"' he said.

There is no suggestion of anything improper in John Marvin and Buster's actions.

On September, 13, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) announced it was investigating Murdaugh over his financial crimes.

He was arrested three days later and charged with fraud and conspiracy after his drug dealer cousin, Curtis 'Eddie' Smith, shot him in a botched suicide life insurance scam on September 4.

Murdaugh said he wanted to end his life after his wife and son's murders because 'all these things were coming to a head.'

He was arrested at a Florida rehab center and charged with swindling clients out of millions on October 14, 2021. He has been in jail ever since then.

In the Netflix film, YouTuber Alan says: 'I got the tip that they were executing a search warrant, and now I have footage of them unloading eight guns out of the house.

'It clearly captured John Marvin carrying two uncased rifles out to the truck. They loaded up a few more things, drove over to the kennels, loaded up a hunting dog and a couple more things and then they left.

'John Marvin and Buster, it could be them going on a hunting trip. I'm not sure, you know, knowing that a double homicide had recently occurred on that property and there were Murdaughs taking guns off of the property, not the officials, it can obviously lead someone to speculate.

'Maybe one of these firearms or some of these firearms were pieces of evidence that could be used against the Murdaugh family in some capacity.'

The Netflix docuseries is currently trending at number 2 as the most watched show on their platform in the US. It also features harrowing testimony from Paul Murdaugh's ex-girlfriend, Morgan Doughty, who describes how he would beat her and was frequently drunk.

At the time of Paul and Maggie's deaths, Murdaugh was being sued by the family of 19-year-old Mallory Beach after she was killed while Paul was drunk at the wheel of his father's boat in February 2019.

Prosecutors say that the wrongful death lawsuit put Murdaugh in financial peril and that he was already millions in debt after getting in over his head while stealing more than $10m from clients and partners at his law firm.

The documentary includes allegations that Murdaugh visited the hospital after the boat wreck and pressured the surviving teenagers to lie about who was driving his boat.
