A house made for a ball as grand as Jay Gatsby's!

A 60,000-square-foot home - dubbed The Fountains - has hit the market for $45 million in Long Island. It was sold for $15.85 million in 2013 and listed for as high as $100million throughout the years.

The Kings Point home was built in 1928 and has a whopping 32 bathrooms - outranking the 18 bedrooms, which are every inch as grand.

The area the home resides in inspired F Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby and it is 'one of the most magnificent Gilded Age Gold Coast waterfront estates,' according to the listing

'A grand trophy, high-profile residence of architectural significance like no other,' it says.

The eight-acre property is 24 miles from Manhattan, but offers 'panoramic views' of the Big Apple and 'world-class amenities' right at home.

The property is owned by Helene Abiri, a Long Island property manager who acquired the stunning home from Tamir Sapir in 2013. Sapir, an immigrant from the Russian state of Georgia, started making his fortune by opening an electronics store that catered to other Soviet immigrants before transitioning into real estate.

Sapir also once owned the Benjamin N Duke mansion on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue, which is on sale for $80 million. He sold the stunning Gilded Age property to Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim for $40 million in 2011.

The property also has 'grandfathered [features that] cannot be duplicated today at the water's edge.'

Each room is grand - and definitely Jay Gatsby-approved - with stained glass on the ceilings and marble walls from Italy, plenty of natural light and stunning light fixtures.

The lower level is dedicated to health and wellness, according to the Robb Report. Homeowners will find the spas, fitness center and the indoor/outdoor pool there.

The grounds also don't disappoint as an aerial shot of the home shows the massive garden and fountain area out front and lots of greenery. It's the perfect place for children to play hide-and-seek as there are plenty of stairs and hiding spots.
