Charges against Ioan Gruffudd's estranged wife Alice Evans are DROPPED trends now
Prosecutors in Los Angeles have dropped charges against Fantastic Four star Ioan Gruffudd's estranged wife Alice Evans who had been accused of defying a restraining order the Welsh actor has against her.
Evans, 54, had pleaded not guilty to two counts of violating the order which bans her from posting disparaging remarks about Gruffudd, 49, or his 29 year-old girlfriend Bianca Wallace on social media.
But at a hearing Thursday at LA's Airport Courthouse, Commissioner James Cooper dismissed the charges after prosecutors told the court they were 'unable to proceed.'

Gruffudd filed for joint custody of his two daughters last July after Alice filed for sole custody amid their acrimonious divorce
At a follow-up hearing Friday – where Evans did not appear in person – her attorney, public defender, Daniel Stefanic, filed a motion asking for a ruling that would declare her 'factually innocent' of the charges.
Commissioner Cooper at first denied the motion, telling the court that 'a finding of factual innocence opens the county (LA county) up for civil liability.

'The county does not want us to rule on issues like this by the seat of our pants.'
But at the urging of Stefanic, Commissioner Cooper withdrew his denial of the motion, deferring his ruling until another hearing he scheduled for April 25.
Outside court Friday, Stefanic told DailyMail.com that even though the charges against Evans have been dismissed, 'she wants to be declared factually innocent of the charges'
Saying that the restraining order charges have caused Evans's name to be 'dragged through the mud,' he added, 'This was a violation of her civil rights.'
The LA Deputy District Attorney prosecuting the case refused to comment.
The restraining order criminal case had caused the former couple's bitter divorce and custody battles over their two daughter, Ella, 13, and Elsie, 9 to be put on hold – much to the chagrin of Gruffudd.
The warring exes were scheduled to appear last month at a court custody hearing where Gruffudd was hoping his request would be granted for more time with his daughters than the one day a week he gets now.
