The creator of the disastrous Fyre Fest is planning to make a paid appearance at an upcoming entrepreneurship summit in Germany but will have to fork over some of the money to his victims.

According to news reports, Billy McFarland, 31, will speak at next month's Entrepreneur University Founder Summit to give his 'unique business insights.'

McFarland will be paid $19,000 for the gig but a U.S, district judge has ordered that the convicted fraudster will need to pay 40 percent of that money to his scam victims.

McFarland successfully defrauded investors out of $24 million while pitching his luxury Bahamas music festival only for guests to arrive and find nothing but chaos.

The 40 percent will cover a fraction of the total $26.4 million that he owes to his victims. After expenses, it is estimated he will make about $2,300 from the job.

The scammer was released from federal prison in 2022 after just four years.

In 2018, he had plead guilty to fraud and was sentenced to six years in prison along with three years of supervised release to follow.

McFarland was also ordered to forfeit $26 million by U.S. District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald, who also made the recent ruling regarding his German endeavor.

On Monday, Buchwald approved his plan to attend the summit in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Judge Buchwald had been presented with a letter from Robin Söder, the CEO of Entrepreneur University, advocating for McFarland to visit the country for the event.

'We believe that Billy's unique business insights and experiences as an entrepreneur and founder would greatly benefit our audience and add valuable insights to the conversation,' said Söder.

US District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald on Monday approved McFarland's plan to attend the Entrepreneur University Founder Summit, set for April 15 and April 16, in Wiesbaden, Germany.
