Three neighbours living on a busy road in south Wales have written off 19 vehicles in the past decade as they say drivers keep crashing into them.

James Crowley and his family have lost 10 cars while living in Chepstow Road in Newport, while next door neighbour Andrew Griffiths and his family have reported seven trashed vehicles.

A third neighbour, Gerald Carter, 89, has lost two cars including one which nearly ended up in his lounge, Wales Online reports.

On Sunday evening, Mr Crowley and Mr Griffiths' cars were hit in another collision - and they have ramped up calls for the local authority to implement traffic management measures.

All three neighbours have voiced their frustration at their council's inaction over speeding cars on a part of the road near the Man of Gwent pub.
