A young woman accused of driving almost 100km/h over the speed limit sparking a fatal crash was also under the influence of multiple drugs, a court heard.
Evie Lyn Butterworth, 29, was allegedly driving the Nissan Maxima which collided with Abbey Sheriff's Nissan X-Trail on Perth's Kwinana Freeway just before midnight on January 11.
Ms Sheriff, 21, died at the scene after the collision sent her vehicle flying onto a bike path near Baldivis.
Ms Butterworth On Thursday, appeared in Perth Magistrates Court where she was charged with manslaughter and driving a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs.
Police allege she was affected by a cocktail of different drugs with traces of cocaine, cannabis and methamphetamine all found in her system.
