Hunter Biden has sued the owner of the Wilmington computer repair store for invasion of privacy, after he turned over the contents of Biden's laptop to allies of former President Donald Trump

John Paul Mac Isaac had previously sued Biden, but in a counterclaim filed Friday morning in U.S. District Court in Delaware, lawyers for the first son said the shopkeeper had no legal right to copy and distribute private information.

Lawyers for Hunter Biden requested a jury trial to determine damages and asked that Mac Isaac return any data belonging to President Joe Biden's son.

'As a result of Mac Isaac's unlawful agreement and his conspiracy with others, Mr. Biden's personal data was made available to third parties and then ultimately to the public at large, which is highly offensive, causing harm to Mr. Biden and his reputation,' the suit said. 'The object of invading Mr. Biden's privacy and disseminating his data was not for any legitimate purpose but to cause harm and embarrassment to Mr. Biden.'

The suit comes after Mac Isaac sued Biden last year, charging he had been defamed by the first son's claims that that the repair shop owner had illegally accessed his data.

Mac Isaac also sued CNN, Politico, the Biden campaign and Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, who previously chaired the House Intelligence Committee.

Mac Isaac contends that Biden abandoned the laptop at the Wilmington shop, and thus after 90 days, it became his property.

The countersuit argues that the 'Repair Authorization form' that Biden purportedly signed at the repair shop runs contrary to Delaware law - and that for Mac Isaac to truly obtain legal ownership of the laptop, he'd have to have it in his possession for a year and file a petition in court to take ownership of it.

The court would then have to send notice to the owner and Mac Isaac would have had to post a petition for the laptop in five or more public places and place an advertisement in a newspaper.

The countersuit also alleges that Delaware's 'small-print adhesion clause' would prevent Mac Isaac from legally taking ownership of the laptop,
