Female teacher charged with grooming teenage boy at QLD school in Indooroopilly trends now
A school has sent a letter to worried parents after a female teacher was charged with allegedly grooming a teenage boy and performing an 'indecent act'.
Chelsea Jane Edwards, 28, from Paradise Point, south-east of Brisbane, was charged with two counts of grooming and one count of indecent treatment of a child under the age of 16 while working at Indooroopilly State School on March 10.
Police allege the teacher met the teenage boy through an Indooroopilly educational facility and began grooming him from July of last year when the pair met up socially outside of school.
Executive Principal, Michael Hornby, penned a letter on Tuesday to address the 'allegations of a serious nature'.
In the letter, Mr Hornby reassured the school's community that they would be providing support throughout the ordeal.
