The body of a 21-year-old last seen getting into an Uber was found in a laundry cart wrapped up in sheets two months after she went missing.

Rosa Chacon's body was recovered suburban Chicago neighborhood near the 2300 block of West 24th Place, investigators confirmed on Wednesday.

Chacon was last seen in home surveillance footage getting into the ride-share vehicle on January 18 but didn't tell her family where she was going. She left her ID and coat behind.

'Normally when our daughter leaves, we hear from her. She calls the next day, she calls an hour after she leaves, she's in a house, she's secure, she's nice and warm. But we didn't hear anything,' Jose Lucio, the victim's father, told WLS-TV. 'I miss my baby.'

Her body was tied together and in a plastic bag. Chacon's cause of death is pending.

The victim's mother, also named Rosa Chacon, recalled the brief conversation she had with her daughter before she went missing.

'She said, "I'll be back mom. I got the Uber ride there and the Uber ride back," that's what she told me,' her mother told the news outlet.

Chacon didn't tell her parents where she was going or who ordered the car for her - a move her father now regrets.

Her mother told CBS Chacon called her the next morning asking her for a ride from an unknown location before the phone went dead moments later.

'She had asked if I could pick and then the phone went dead and then I called and called and called... and no answer,' her mother said.
