Shocking CCTV shows the moment a truck driver allegedly drove through a red light seconds before running over two students outside an Adelaide high school. 

The 60-year-old man, who has been released on bail, was arrested on Wednesday after his truck allegedly hit two 16-year-olds, one girl and one boy, at a pedestrian crossing outside Marryatville High School in Kensington.

Now newly released CCTV footage shows a driver allegedly running through a red light seconds before the students are hit.

The teenagers were treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to Royal Adelaide Hospital by ambulance.

The girl is in a serious condition, while the boy remains in a critical condition. Marryatville High revealed a third student was injured but is recovering at home.

The 60-year-old man was arrested by Major Crash investigators on Wednesday and charged with two counts of causing injury by dangerous driving. 

He was bailed to appear just six hours after his arrest and is due to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on June 7, raising eyebrows
