Man, 32, dies after suspected shooting during broad daylight in Manchester as 33-year-old is arrested on suspicion of murder and second suspect is on the run A 32-year-old man died in a suspected shooting in east Manchester on Saturday Police arrested a 33-year-old man and are searching for a second suspect  

A man has been killed in a 'targeted' suspected shooting in Manchester, police have said. 

A 32-year-old man was pronounced dead by first responders after reports of gunfire in broad daylight on Welland Street, Openshaw, East Manchester at 2pm on Saturday. 

A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and police are searching for a second suspect who fled the scene shortly afterwards. 

An air ambulance was scrambled to a nearby park and a police cordon has been in place since the death as forensic officers investigate. Additional officers have been sent to the area this evening.
