The heart-wrenching moment a one-year-old Guatemalan boy was dumped at the U.S. border by a 'coyote' people smuggler has been caught on camera.

The smuggler simply left the child along the Colorado River to fend for himself after crossing the border from Mexico earlier this week.

Surveillance cameras positioned directly along Mexico border with Arizona sees the smuggler coming out of the water and placing the child onto a path between two sections of the border, where he then callously abandons the child.

The smuggler then makes a swim for it back across the border into Mexico leaving the child all alone.
