Up to 50million Britons are planning to celebrate King Charles' coronation in May by taking a trip to the pub, research suggests.
Experts believe up to three quarters of the entire population will sink a record 36 million pints during the extended weekend.
Pubs, clubs and bars will be allowed to stay open into the early hours between Friday May 5 and Sunday May 7 - with the coronation taking place on May 6.
Home Secretary Suella Braverman is allowing venues across England and Wales to continue serving customers until 1am rather than the normal 11pm, to allow people to 'enjoy an extra pint or two'.
Even though some are not planning on a trip to a boozer for the big event, 70 per cent still say they will enter a pub at some point during that weekend.

Pub bosses are dubbing the weekend a 'Right Royal Knees Up' - with record numbers of pints predicted to be sold as people celebrate with friends and family.
