The incident took place at the Covenant School on the outskirts of the city shortly after 10am on Monday. The shooter - who has not been named - was shot and killed by police. The Nashville Fire Department referred to it as being an 'active aggressor' It's unclear how many were injured, and whether the victims are children or staff. Parents have been told to collect their children from the school, but no other information has been given. There are around 33 staff members in the school and some 260 students. Terrified children were seen running out of the school with their parents on Monday. Other schools in the area have gone into lockdown as a precaution.
