The world's most beloved brands - Tiffany's best-rated in the US, Burberry ... trends now

A recent report has laid bare the world's most beloved brands - with high-end sellers like Tiffany's and Burberry taking several of the top spots.

The results come from an analysis of millions of tweets involving more than 2,000 global brands ranging from clothing stores, brewing companies, and food distributers. 

To find how well they were liked, the blog that carried out the report used an AI tool to search for certain tweets about those brands, and analyze how positively each were is talked about.

The program then senses any positive sentiment present in the tweets and determines which local brands are liked. 

Merchant Machine proceeded to map out which are the most-loved in their respective nations.

In the US, the high-end a jewelry brand long headquartered on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue earned the distinction of most-loved.  

Founded in 1873, the seller has since enjoyed mountainous success - both financially and now in the court of public opinion - reportedly valued somewhere in the ballpark of $16billion.

Across the pond, the most-liked was another high-end seller, Burberry, the London-based fashion house worth roughly $6billion.

The results make clear that both Americans and their counterparts over the Atlantic prefer high-quality products even when charged a premium - especially if met with stellar custom service and luxurious displays used to win over customers.

Elsewhere across the globe, results alternated from more of the same to markedly different.

For instance, in Scotland, the most loved company was Renfrewshire-based Mackays, one of the country's best known clothing chains.

The store is named for a distinctive plaid belonging to an ancient clan originating from the far Highlands of Scotland - a pattern that is featured prominently on much of its upmarket jackets and overcoats.

Moreover, the positive rating was garnered even as rumors swirl over the store's economic situation, as it was recently put up for the sale for the second time in three years.
