Chaos erupted at a Nottingham end of term student party after a crowd tried to force their way into a full venue and three people were arrested.
People were seen falling down an escalator at the Shutdown Notts event in the city's Skybar last night, while security battling to keep order were pictured putting people into choke holds.
Nottinghamshire Police issued a statement over a large police presence on Burton Street following concerns over public safety.
The sold-out event - dubbed 'Nottingham's Ultimate FREE End Of Term Party!' - saw rooms full to the brim, with video footage showing people pushed around in crowded rooms and crushed into corners.
Footage also shows a large crowd of women stumbling over while being pushed up a busy escalator, before one falls over and starts moving upwards feet first.
