Ian Brunner, 22, was working underneath his black two-door 1994 Miata when the jack holding up the vehicle collapsed and trapped him around 7pm on Sunday.
Brunner, who had received in Mechanical Engineering degree only hours before, was in the parking lot of a student housing complex when he was reported unresponsive by an unidentified person in a 911 call.
'A car fell on a kid and he’s - this jack fell out from underneath him and he’s trapped underneath and not responding,' a distressed caller told dispatchers, according to WHIO.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
