Jane Lu, the founder and CEO of Showpo, revealed 'the rudest email' the company had ever received after they rejected a person for a casual warehouse position. The email chain, dated back to January, stemmed from Showpo asking to keep the details of unsuccessful candidates on file for any potential jobs in the future. The founder and CEO of Showpo, Jane Lu (pictured), has been left floored by 'the rudest email' the company has received after asking a job applicant to keep their details on file for future Ms Lu started the company out of her parent's home in Balmain, in Sydney's inner-west, in 2010 and has since grown it into an international fashion empire. Revealing the email to fans on TikTok, Ms Lu captioned the video 'we definitely dodged a bullet'. Ms Lu explained the job vacancies had been filled up quickly through an existing talent pool, and an email was sent out to all unsuccessful applicants. 'We were luckily able to the fill the positions very quickly, however, we do hire for these roles throughout the year so we hope you don’t mind if we keep your details and reach out when we have positions available,' the email reads. The harmless request did not sit well with one rejected applicant prompting them to respond with a foul-mouthed message. 'I do not give permission to store my details if u don't give me a chance first time, delete immediately u c***s (sic),' it read. 'F**k you sincerely.' 'What?' a shocked Ms Lu exclaimed after reading out the email. Showpo sent an email saying they would 'definitely' not be saving their information before the applicant responded with a 'thumbs up' emoji. The applicant's email (pictured) tells Showpo to 'delete' their information 'immediately u (sic) c***s' 'I bet you kicked yourself for not hiring this gem of a person,' one user wrote in a tongue-in-cheek message. 'Quality candidates wouldn’t act a damn fool like that - good on you,' a second wrote. 'Red flag!!!! It's such a small world and this is so unprofessional,' another added. Some social media users took pity on the rejected applicant. 'Ur (you'r) team thinks its nice to say we filled the role quickly? Simply say the role was filled,' one wrote. 'Obviously what he did was wrong. But I also don’t think that including phrases like "luckily we were able to fill this role quickly",' a second wrote. 'Will consider what you’re suggesting but I don't think that’s what’s triggered him,' Ms Lu replied. 'Anyway if that’s triggered him then probably worth finding out early.'
