A video of him roaring with laughter has gone viral as the 2024 hopeful makes an apparent effort to loosen up.
It left many in stitches and lots were quick to crack jokes about the footage which showed Ron DeSantis cackling with his mouth wide open.
But it left others questioning whether he was actually a robot masquerading as a human as they claimed the clip 'will haunt your nightmares'.
DeSantis is rumored to be announcing his presidential bid at an event in Miami next week.

The video of him laughing, which first aired on C-Span, shows the governor engaged in a conversation with a man at a classic car show in Iowa on May 13.
Screen grabs of the exact moment were widely shared on social media as users poked fun at DeSantis' bizarre laugh.
Someone else said: 'There is just something so odd and almost nonhuman about him.'
And another joked that the politician had to 'activate human laughter simulator' to seem human.
'If this is your laughing face you can't be president. It's math,' a fourth added.
A Twitter user joked that he was not human like DeSantis and could relate to the awkward moment and wrote: 'Me when I experience human emotion laughter.'
'He’s ChatGPT sent back from the future,' someone said.
And the DeSantis clip was compared to the scene in Men in Black when the bug alien was in the body of a farmer.
It is not the first time DeSantis has been mocked for his eccentric laugh as he debuted it during an interview with Piers Morgan back in March.
He was asked if he ate chocolate pudding with his fingers before he burst out laughing.
