A Texas city has lost its Guinness World Record bid for bringing together the biggest group of people with the same first name after hundreds of Kyles flocked to the Lone Star State for the count.
The current record was set when 2,325 Ivans gathered in the Bosnian town of Kupreski Kosci in 2017.
The City of Kyle lost out on beating the world record on Sunday at the 'Gathering of the Kyles'.
After a count and recount of all registrants, the city said it had 1,490 Kyles in attendance.
'We are so grateful to the hundreds of Kyles that attended the Kyle Fair A Tex-Travaganza to participate in this world record attempt,' a spokesperson for the City of Kyle said.
