A pastor has been released from a local hospital after being rushed their last week in critical condition - following a car accident that claimed the lives of his two school-aged daughters.

Additionally, the violent collision in Arkansas' rural Clark County left the youngest son of driver - and beloved Crossroads Cowboy Church priest  - Chad Fryar fighting for his life, with the extent of his injuries still unspecified.

The crash occurred Thursday, and left the local pastor's truck a mangled mess when a northbound train unexpectedly hit its passenger side as the car passed a railroad crossing.

After the initial impact, officials said, the locomotive dragged the truck roughly half a mile - all while the 37-year-old and the young members of the beloved figure's family were trapped inside.

Upon surveying the wreckage, cops quickly discerned that Fryar's daughters, Marley Jo and Dana Kate, did not survive - while son Bo Henry underwent emergency surgery presumably to save his life.

In an important update from Fryar's Bismarck congregation Monday, clergymen revealed that Fryar was on the mend, checking out of the hospital on his own accord while his son, after a successful surgery, was in stable condition.

'Thank you to everyone worldwide that is reaching out and praying! God is working and your prayers are being heard!' it read. 'Pastor Chad was able to check out of the hospital right after our our [sic] services today!'

The revelation came as a sigh of relief to the roughly 2,000 Bismarck citizens who had come to know the pastor over the past three years, after he joined the church in November of 2020.

Earlier in the day, the church shared a statement asking for healing prayers to Pastor Fryar and his son Bo Henry, revealing they both, at that point, were in stable condition. The child's injuries, however, were not specified.

'We are devastated by [the] tragic events and the loss of Marlee Jo and Dana Kate,” the Monday statement from Crossroads Cowboy Church read.

'Chad and Bo Henry are stable in local hospitals. Please continue to pray for their healing. Please pray for Rachel as she navigates this loss and ministers to her son and husband.'

Over the weekend, church officials shared an update touting Fryar's progress in regards to his recovery, saying he was 'in good spirits and being his normal self.'

At the time, the congregation wrote that doctors were 'still discussing the length of his stay,' but were keeping him in the ICU as a precaution.

Shared on two days after the accident, the statement also shed light on the condition of Bo Henry, after officials confirmed the child survived and had been hospitalized, but did not specify the extent of his injuries.

'Bo Henry's surgery went better than anticipated last night and they are managing his pain,' the Saturday statement
