Patrons at a popular lights festival have poked fun at the annual event after its spectacular harbourside show abruptly ended.
A TikToker posted a video on Sunday of the Vivid Lights Festival at Sydney Harbour with its dazzling images and crescendo of music abruptly finishing right on 11pm.
While some Sydneysiders speculated there was a 'curfew' in place, it turns out the nightly Vivid showcases are only scheduled from 6pm to 11pm - and they aren't all-night presentations.
It comes after festivalgoers were slapped with a hefty $40 entry free at the festival's new Lightscape attraction, sparking outrage on Monday.
The video of the Sydney Opera House and city surrounds lit up in blue, pink, purple, brown and yellow was uploaded with the caption: 'She on a strict curfew.'
It showed the iconic landmark illuminated with a moving Indigenous art image, accompanied with a crescendo of choral and orchestral music.
