Two of Australia's most popular McDonald's fast food stops on the east coast will soon be shut down after their leases were not renewed.
Australia's largest petroleum distributor, Ampol, announced changes to their north and southbound service stations along the Pacific Motorway (M1) at Jilliby, near Wyong on the NSW Central Coast.
The changes include the removal of the McDonald's outlets at both of the twin service stations, firstly in July and then in early 2024.
Ampol intend to replace the McDonalds' restaurants with a fast food rival, Hungry Jacks, and 'other quick service restaurants' at both stations.
