A fearless 80-year-old has taken to the skies in a daring wing walk to raise money for a hospice that cared for her late husband.
Nancy Spencer, from Heighington, County Durham, soared above the clouds at Leeds Airport East to raise funds for St Teresa's Hospice, where she works as a volunteer.
While strapped to a Boeing Stearman biplane, and soaring at speeds of up to 135mph in the air, the octogenarian daredevil even managed to send a touching tribute to her late husband, Brian.
She said: 'I said hello to Brian up there. He said he was very proud of me, and I said I would see him in 20 years' time.'
The octogenarian daredevil had originally planned to complete a skydive on her 70th birthday but it was cancelled as her husband was diagnosed with cancer and was cared for by the staff at St Teresa's.
