Shocking moment inmate lunges at prison guard with sharpened plastic knife trends now

This was the dramatic moment a prisoner lunged at a prison officer with a knife to try and kill him.

Kevin Jones, 41, has been convicted of attempted murder after he attacked the guard at HMP Bullingdon near Bicester.

A court heard that at around 10.10am on July 17 2021, the victim, a male prison officer, aged 28 at the time of the attack, was escorting another prisoner to his cell on the Blackthorn Unit.

Jones was a prisoner on the unit at this time, and had a pre-existing grudge against the officer.

The CCTV footage shows him shiftily walking alongside the prison officer on the gantry, looking both ways, before pulling a sharpened plastic knife out of his pocket and lunging for the victim's neck.
